What to Expect
Many Pilates teachers work with people who experience pain, yet pain information the can out there can often feel confusing, unpredictable and difficult to navigate with confidence.
This practical, down to earth education workshop explores what modern pain science can teach us about helping clients who hurt - without the jargon, overwhelm, or need for a medical background.
What’s Included
Held in person at our purpose built Training Centre in Altrincham, these days are filled with education, community and connection with likeminded teachers.
In the first half of the session, we’ll Explain Pain - exploring how pain works, challenging common myths and making sense of what current research tells us about the relationship between the body, the brain and movement.
In the second half, we’ll Tame Pain - translating these ideas into practical tools you can use immediately.
We’ll explore simple ways to support clients more confidently, communicate more effectively and help reduce barriers to movement and your income. The course emphasises inclusive, client-centred learning, helping you create supportive environments that acknowledge the physical and emotional demands of movement with pain. You will build the skills to deliver classes that are both safe and empowering. This training equips you with the tools to teach with clarity, confidence, and care firmly rooted in evidence and designed for real-life application.
